I make wire bonsai trees and sell them around town at arts and crafts fairs and by word of mouth. I am making the trees to spread awareness about PKD patients and search for a living donor for my mother, Vonchelle Knight.

My name is Vonchelle Knight and I have Polycystic Kidney Disease. I am on the transplant waitlist for 8 years and on dialysis for 5 years. I am desperately seeking a living kidney donor. I have Type O+/- blood. If your blood type doesn’t match mine you can still donate on my behalf in the Piedmont “Paired Kidney Exchange Program” or “Donor Swap”. While that means your kidney may go to a stranger, it assures that I will receive a kidney transplant. You don’t have to be related to be a donor.
